But they want to keep him near so he can take the team over when his time out is served.

Surely, with it being Ole Miss, one of the boosters will white knight for him.

Hey-ohh

I wonder how well he can do when forced to play by the rules though?

Houston Nutt still can't get a job. He can fill in while The Coach sits out against Northern Southern Rhode Island State College.

There will be no suspension. He will be fired or he won't be. I can count coaches on one hand that broke major NCAA rules, got severe sanctions and kept their job. Ron Meyer, Bobby collins come to mind but more than not. Not pat dye, mike dubose,Barry Switzer, freddy akers, Hal mumme, charley pell, on and on.

If he did what a being bantered ole miss will have no choice. Ole miss ignored public perception when they hired him to begin with. This is SMU all over again. A team that should never be great becomes great and the worst kept secret is how they are becoming great. SMU doesn't suck because of the death penalty, they suck because they are SMU. If ole miss gets hammered they will be a sub .500 team for years. Freeze either did or didn't. He will be fired or won't.

I don't see any suspension happening...when is the last time a major HC was suspended??

Hasn't happened in football but 5 time final four and 2003 national championship winning Jim Boeheim got a 9 game suspension this last hoops season for failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance.

Any Coach in the SEC would win big with the level of cheating Ole Miss has done.

Touchdown Tony has it nailed. If Freeze was involved he is gone.

In 2011 Jim Tressel got a 5 year show-cause penalty. Ohio State is kind of a major HC job right

The "New Ncaa" claims they are holding head coaches accountable. We shall see how serious they are.

I think Freeze actually loves Ole Miss and this was his dream job. The issue he will have is sitting next to a booster during an in home recruiting visit and also not telling the truth about a few things.

The other part that hurts Ole Miss as a program were the number of boosters, grade fixing and monies to obtain many recruits. I have said that to me, this shows a total lack of institutional control. We shall see how the Ncaa handles all of this. Draft night only made things worse because millions of fans from other programs witnessed it first hand and demand action. After all, some of those programs feel they got ripped off losing a local recruit cross country which to them, and the number of times Ole Miss was able to pull this off, led them to believe draft night was insight as to why.
