I’m glad we split the newbies, and we get horn, and you guys get Sooner. I would of hated a “big 12” pod

UGA, south Carolina's second biggest rival in history and by faaaaaaaar biggwst sec rival, not being one of the THREE choices for them, simply defies all logic, reason, and common sense.

I can’t believe they’re robbing A&M of our historic rivalry with South Carolina.

Ok, so looking at it from a traditional perspective:

The "real SEC" (original 10 teams):

The Big Six (traditional powers);
Alabama- 3 "real SEC" teams
Auburn- 3 "real SEC" teams
Georgia- 3 "real SEC" teams
LSU- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in with geographic ties
Tennessee- 2 "real SEC" teams, and an add-in
Florida- 1 "real SEC" team, an add-in, and then a newcomer

The rest;
Ole Miss- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add in
Miss State- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in
Kentucky- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in
Vanderbilt- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in

The Add-ins (expansion teams):
Arkansas- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy
A&M- 2 real SEC, 1 new guy
South Carolina- 3 "real SEC" teams
Missouri- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy

The New Guys:
Oklahoma- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy
Texas- 2 add-ins, 1 new guy

I'm not surprised that Alabama and UGA get what they wanted (although you might argue they'd rather play SC than Kentucky). Sorta surprised that South Carolina gets a classic slate, and Florida gets "leftovers".
You could argue that Texas also got exactly what they wanted.

From a competitive balance, you might say A&M is in trouble. Both LSU and Texas are pretty dominant in their series, and Miss State has not been the cupcake they expected.

Lmao if you’re scared, just say you’re scared

Literally not worried, I would of preferred Arkansas instead of State, but I like keeping a Miss school

I know it’s not really a rivalry but Bama and State not playing yearly feels wrong

The hell it does. All I want outta this conference realignment is to not have to play them every year.

I hope everyone is happy that money is now ruling the sport and centuries of tradition are being dumped down the latrine.

There’s a large chunk of fans on here who live this. They want the SEC to get to 24 teams by adding FSU, Clemson, Okie State, etc.

Then they’ll brag about the SEC, like it still has some cultural significance.

If this is the case, hopefully they’ll move the mizzou game up on the schedule so we don’t have to play them in their do or die game for bowl eligibility anymore.

They put it all out there when they play us.

Our schedule actually got easier with no Bama. I crack up people are fighting to play Vandy.

Vandy Fans - Who do you guys want?

I'd go for trading Vanderbilt for South Carolina. The SC series showed a little fire in its relatively short time.
