Even with a coaching change and DeBoer on the job less than a month, Bama finishes with the #2 class and ranked higher than the cow colleges's highest ranked class in history. LOL

This is only on a technicality. Alabama had players transfer already that are still considered apart of their recruiting class. Retarded that players like Julian Saying and Jameer Grimsley are counted in their ranking

Didn't the majority of these players sign under Saban?

It can be difficult to get released from a NLI, I imagine most will just see how things go and transfer out next year if they aren't impressed.

Yeah it sucks, even with defections they still have more talent than most of us. Maybe we can collect more their scraps. I doubt it.

They aren’t the only ones stockpiling talent, that’s why it’s no surprise who wins it all at the end of the year. It’s become boring.

Our best team in years could only finish third behind the 2 teams who played for the championship because we weren’t talented enough to beat either.

And we want to fire coaches because we can’t compete with the recruiting over many decades.

It looks like 247 hasn’t removed them, but on3 does not include them in the class rankings and are still #2.

No, they aren't. You should probably check out On3 rankings.

DeBoer cant be credited with any of that.

DeBoer is ranked in the 30s for 2025. LSU, UGA, Auburn, Texas, OSU all top 10.

Is that why Nicky Bitch needed referee help and a miracle to steal a win against Freeze this year?

It's been an amazing job of keeping great recruits after the atomic bomb was dropped a few weeks ago. The talent level is still very high for a lot of young guys on campus.

The other aspect is when a head coach leaves and the portal opens for 30 days it can be a one-way street for a while. Given Coach Saban's timing, players can go but BAMA is having to wait until the spring portal to replace some experienced players with experienced players.

In the end, Coach DeBoer is selling his brand of football at ALABAMA and the kids are listening.

Who did he "keep" outside of Ryan Williams?

There are over a thousand players in the portal, Alabama is free to sign any of them.

They have actually been removed from the rankings. And Alabama still has a #2 class based on the others they’ve added.

The number 2 recruiting class in the land. Look it up. No one had to stay after Coach Saban left. No one. Sayin left after Mack Austin came in from Washington and Noel Carter came to BAMA as a signed Washington recruit that was let out of his LOI. Coach DeBoer has won over the number 2 class in the land.

There will also be players who get into the spring portal because they want to play for Coach DeBoer. That's just the way it works. Coach DeBoer will also see his needs after spring ball and will replace the few who left or even the area he wants to improve talent in his schemes.

It can be difficult to get out of an NLI once you've signed, depending on what you've done academically. That's why you rarely see defections from recently signed players during a coaching change.

Sayin didn't have any problem. Neither did Noah Carter. There are 4 and 5-star recruits all over this BAMA roster and they have survived this initial shockwave. The transfer portal would have allowed every single recruit to leave had they chosen to simply do so.

I didn't say it was impossible but this is a weird moral victory.

Like I said, you rarely see many defections from players that just signed when there's a coaching change.
