And I wouldn't call Houston Nutt a "dumpster fire of a coach" just yet. He is, what, 10-3 against Mississippi State all time?

This kind of reasoning is why notre dame will be ranked pre-season next year.

Of course, I'm not sure why you're assuming he lives in mississippi since his name is DC rebel.

I'm assuming you're fat because I can't help but think of Mark Mangini when you post.

And my handle, DCRebel, should tell you that I actually don't live in Mississippi, moron.

I disagree. I think it's two completely different types of faulty reasoning. Houston had a bad year last year, and slept at the wheel in the Egg Bowl the year before. Y'all call him a "dumpster fire" as if State has owned him when, really, he's beaten State with both Ole Miss and Arkansas.

That's fine and all. I just hate all-time records being used in any argument. Go ahead and make the "cuz you're a state fan" jokes, but really it never has anything to do with the next season. See Notre Damn/Meeeechigan

Fair enough. Regarding this upcoming season, All-time records don't mean dick. Really, what happened the season before doesn't mean dick either.

Be 100% honest with me here, State fans. How many of you thought that you'd beat Ole Miss and, in the process, score 41 points on us, a year removed from the 45-0 buttfricking in Vaught-Hemingway?

Put your chubby little hand down, Asphalt.

Or maybe the fact we've beaten you the past two times we played, when OM had better teams and SC had worse teams?

41? hell no. That was back when everyone thought your DC was the shite. I thought we would win, but hell I think that before the LSU game every year. But I won't think that next year, now that Crowton is gone.

But back to the querstion, we had a lot of confidence in our team last year after being one play away from the lsu/GA tech/and Houston games so I expected to win. 41 not so much.

The first loss was certainly inexcuseable, as turnovers killed us (once again), but it's not as if teams win in Columbia very often. What, do you think that you had a better team than Bama this year? Of course you didn't, you just caught them playing at your place. Y'all, for some reason, have the most absurd home field advantage EVAR.

You can't play like a champion every week.

We've just happened to have a couple letdowns against you guys.

We've taken 3 out of the last four from Florida, but I don't think anyone thinks we're a better program.

My point exactly. Only one team a year gets to say that everything went they way they wanted it to. This year, that team was Auburn.

Just like we had a couple letdowns against Auburn and Arkansas.

And especially Kentucky.
