guys... lets stay on topic... this isn't a AU vs. MSU discussion. It's simply a plea to help a fellow SEC fan who likes to listen to SEC sports on XM. I can't stomach state games.

Well here is my solution, DONT LISTEN TO THEM. All of our SEC basketball games are on ESPN or one of the ESPN sister networks. If you dont care for Jack, then you can listen to Tim Brando, Dave Neal, Dave Baker, Barry Booker, etc...

Not in east texas. The only way for me to listen to the state auburn game last weekend was XM... and unfortunately, XM only carries the home team's broadcast.

Its amazing how people from other schools outside the state of Mississippi are talking about a legendary announcer who is in the Mississippi Sports and Mississippi Broadcasting hall of fames. A man who has devoted his entire life to Mississippi State athletics, and has done a great job along the way.
I have never once listend to an Auburn or Alabama radio broadcast and never intend to. If you guys are hell bent on talking shite about a 83 year old man then have at it. I love listening to Jack Cristil and if you have a problem with that then GFY.

Honestly, I expect the guy to die while doing a broadcast. He does have some classic quotes though. I got an email after the 2008 Egg Bowl with a page and a half of his quotes from just that one game. He knows how to have a sense of humor even when things are going bad for his team, something we should all try a little harder to do...

Why are MSU fans so defensive over everything? I guess when you have little to be proud of, you have to??? We went to the MSU Bama football game this past year and I have never had so many people talk shite to me. This old guy was talking shite to us, and we told him to "sit his old arse down". Didnt say much after hat. Was hillarious.

Jack Cristil is someone we hold special at Mississippi State similar to how you gumps love Bear Bryant. I respect the hell out of Bear Bryant as do people across the nation. Jack Cristil (althought he is only an announcer) deserves similar respect. JMO

Of course I knew it was a typo. Until you admitted it, I wasn't going to let it go. FWIW you could have gotten more creative with this "hat" character
