Ole Miss has a claim to be better than us. Alabama certainly does not.

Total: LSU - 8, Bama - 11, Ole Miss - 13
Rushing: Bama - 2, Ole Miss - 29, LSU - 38
Passing Efficiency: LSU - 1, Ole Miss - 13, Bama - 31
Aggregate Average: Bama - 12, LSU - 12.5, Ole Miss - 14
I think there is a case to be made that Bama had as good an overall defense as any team in the SEC.

I agree. Godchaux deserved the spot. Dude anchored really well at a young age, and I'm sure it was not easy learning his assignments that quickly in Chavis' scheme.

Even their SEC Numbers were great, though. That defense is going to be 2011 good next year, and the offense will have likely caught up.

Hand came in with much more hype than Godchaux.
If this gives Godchaux more motivation for the 2015 season, then it ultimately works out for the best.

I was surprised when I heard Godchaux didn't make it. It's an obvious oversight. But extra motivation for next year.
