Actually, LSU didn’t win the SEC championship last year. We just won the national championship. Almost as good anyway.

"Not good enough to play for LSU"? Used to cross paths with DD a few years back, a nice guy, but he told me once that Skip told him that not recruiting him out of Catholic High was one of his biggest misses. At that time, Skip had never signed a Catholic High player. According to DD, Skip caught a lot of flack, from alums, for not signing him out of Catholic. And started signing a lot a of players after him.

I was on the same flag football team with Dellucci back in grade school and played baseball with him
He wasn’t a huge prospect coming out of high school at the time but really developed while at ole miss and wasn’t drafted till after his senior year as he stayed all four years
He was a good athlete and good football player as well but he worked very hard at his craft
I’m just glad the lsu ad did a thorough search and got Jay Johnson rather than Bianco
