Danny thinks SOS would consider accepting the OC position and coaching, if you left him alone and he didn't have to recruit. Wouldn't be in the SEC, except

If you're going to bring Spurrier back, why would you even keep Mac?

He just kept asking The question over and over hoping to get a headline. HBC is not going to be the O coordinator.

Haha, it has to be for real. ;

Plus he'll probably get paid more than most head coaches, I'm on board.

Spurrier wasn't even good offensively at South Carolina. The game passed him by a long time ago. And what kind of major college program would willingly handcuff their program by not expecting their OC to help recruit offensive players? Why would a top offensive recruit commit to a school whose playcaller cant even be bothered to come visit you and your mother?

If he's not going to recruit his own players then how likely is his offense going to produce?

Shits idiotic. BOTH Steve and Danny are old has been geezers.

The guy was almost yearly in the top 25 in offense based on advanced metrics like both S&P+ & FEI. His scoring offense was in the top 30 most years yards per play top 25-50

For a guy not running an uptempo spread, his offenses were great until the ending when he DGAF

Because Mac apparently doesn't want to call plays on offense. Or Mac has been calling plays and it would be a way to improve the offense with out firing him . I would prefer to have Mac call the plays unless he already has been and fire Nuss at the end of the season.

Give him $10mill per year and put him back on the sideline at the Swamp. He doesn't need to go on the road and recruit. They have airplanes now. Recruits come to Gainesville. He can talk to them out on the golf course. It's only a mile from the football offices to the clubhouse.

Flame away. Don't even care.

But compare his offenses at South Carolina with his offenses at Florida and you will see a very clear difference in production.

Spurrier was top notch 15 years ago. He just doesn't have the heart to put up all the effort needed now.
Remember he just quit on USCe about this time of year, which is inexcusable IMO.
Perhaps he could be used in a small consultant role, but I doubt he'd want to do much more than that.
