My grandfather was the biggest AU fan I have ever known (obviously that says a lot). I have plenty of stories I could tell and I told one about a picture I have of him and Vince Dooley at his house when Dooley signed his first player as an AU assistant, but here is one more...

Back in the 60's (I think) after a loss to Bama where our offense was aweful, my grandad got so angry he went down on the field as the game ended. Walked up to the AU offensive coordinator (would have to ask my mom again who is was) and asked him when he was going to quit so AU could win one against Bama. A couple of assistants grabbed my grandad and threatened to whip his arse (might have been tough as my grandad was 6'2 and about 215-220) before he was escorted off the field. Could you imagine if that happened today?

I once got thrown out of a hockey game for beating on the glass of the other teams penalty box and harrassing a guy after he got put in the box for fighting. Only game I've been escorted out of.

I need to ask my mom who that AU coach was again. I can never remember his name but apparently one of the AU assistants had to be restrained from attacking my granddad after he said that to the offensive cordinator when they were walking off the field.

I'm reserved at times but at sporting events, I'm usually loud, yell a lot, curse a lot, etc. Even at a bar, I will often get pretty loud and yell a lot of things I probably shouldn't and people will think there might be something wrong with me. Or be like cutie and ask me to please calm down. Hell, even my friends that are somewhat used to it will tell me to calm down.
