I think Saban could crack up like Woody Hayes did...

Hope springs eternal for you Aubs.
Eh, y'all have been at your all-time best for the past 7 seasons and we've done okay despite all of our own turmoil.

I'm hoping y'all stay at or near the top of your game for a while yet. It was a lot more fun beating you in 2010 and 2013 than it was in 2003 or 2006.

Not sure if you're serious.

Would have dismissed the Kiffin rumors but even shows like The Round Table have made mention of it.

I mean, this is one of the best runs we've ever had in terms of wins and nattys, though not in conference championships.

There's been a lot of talk of a falling out between Kiffin and Saban. Maybe Nicks looking for a backup plan

Define "a lot of talk," and identify who has been talking.

If there's been a lot, this should be easy for you.

I'm talking about winning 88.4% of all your games over a 7-year span (and 86.9% of your SEC games), plus 3 undisputed consensus NCs, 3 SECCs, 6 top-tier bowl appearances, with a Heisman Trophy thrown in.

All this while playing with the same number of scholarship players as all of your opponents, arguably during a time when the SEC is its deepest and most competitive in its history.

Feel free to dispute.

Bama isn't going to go down the path of a full decline until Saban retires. Until then they will continue to recruit a ton of 5-star and 4-star kids and dominate the SEC for years to come.

Once Saban retires then you will see things fade as time passes. Even when that happens they will eventually return to the top in the future.

Probably some lunatic Missouri fan that is living in fantasy land thinking they are competing for national titles.

Or maybe the 13 SEC titles in 25 years, with 6 poll titles from 1958-1982? 232 wins as well.

First off, I don't think Alabama is in a decline necessarily. I think Saban will be around for another five or so years, and Alabama will have a good shot at winning another couple of titles with him as coach, especially considering how it looks like Saban is making a stab at adapting to the current offensive game theory.

That said, the gravy train ends at some point. It always does, football is inherently cyclical in nature. I hate Alabama, but dammit I respect the teams that Saban has artfully put together. And I can't be sure, but my hunch is that we are in the late stages of Alabama being the preeminent team to beat.

Dan Wolken would not know a decline from an online Hooker.

Nah, there was one dumb poster that thinks Missouri is actually a national title competing program.
