I think that Mullen is a good coach. He just isn't a very good recruiter. And he is coaching in a dangerous neighborhood (SEC West).

Mullen> your D-line/ Head Coach. This has to be the first in college football that position coach got promoted to head coach.

What people don't realize are the things that hinder Mullen at MSU, will also hinder him elsewhere. He's a good coach and great qb recruiter/developer, but he's not the total package guy that people think. When he takes his next job, this will become evident. Successful, but never the best.

I think auburn fans should be thrilled with an 8-4 season.

You have an all-time losing record to both of your rivals.

Your best coach in your program's history according to your fans, never won a title.

State fans.. lol. Would say "see you in starkville next fall", but the two games I have been to there gave me all the cowbell I will need for the rest of my life. Keep on clangin that bell waiting on MSU to be relevant.

State has been "relevant" much more recently than LSU.

Yea. The end of Sherrill and Croom era was a nightmare. If Mullen decides to leaves, the program might go back to that point. I don't think it will but it might. I can't believe that half of the State fan base wanted him gone at one point.
