It certainly sounds like Texas found out at the very end of the process who they would play and threw a little fit about it.

WVU has gotten better TV ratings overall the past 2 seasons. I'd rather play a better team with more national appeal.

They just don't have any reason to play Texas right now. It's a bad look but it's not an unjustifiable one.

Correct. The SEC wanted A&M to play texas. texas bitched out and A&M was forced to go play a team with a backbone.
