He won it because he played for Bama. He’s not the best defensive player…
I guess the best basketball player is the guy who score the most points too.

Not even close. Bama's Defense wasn't even great. He's just named because they remembered the dirty hit on JD. Otherwise no one but Bama fans would know his name.

I'm sure that NFL Owners, GMs, and Scots k now his name. he will be a first round pick

When will the dirtiest player of the year be announced? He’s got to be the favorite for that too, right?

I could see your argument if it was close.

137 tackles to 50 tackles is not close.

Throw in more sacks, forced fumbles, recovered fumbles, interceptions and PDs and it really gets ugly.

Bookie was better in every measurable statistic

The worse the defense is the more opportunities to make tackles. Hold the opposing team to 3 and outs and you can only make 3 tackles. Let the opposing have 7, 8 or 9+ play drives and you can make 7+ tackles.

Well, that award has lowered its standards, obviously

50 tackles?

Him and Jett Johnson were pretty much the only bright spots on our defense

Why is it every time I read one of these threads I get jelly all over the front of my clothes? And LSU jelly is the worst.

My God, if Daniels does not win the Heisman this place is over. They will shut it down.

Thanks for ruining everything Bama.

So you're taking Bookie over Dallas? That's not a real thing.

He's the best pass rusher in America and deserves the award for best defensive player in the SEC.

It's not just because it's Bama. It's because it's the SEC champ vs a 5-7 football team.
