0-21 in Omaha. That's such a mind-bender that I don't know how they break through at this point under Martin.

shite, Florida too. I still cannot beleive they have never won the CWS. Seems like they have been right near the top of the SEC every year for the last 15 years or so.

If I had to pick I would say Vandy. Runner up in 15. National title in 14. Made CWS is 15, 14, and 11. A couple years ago I would have said USC, but they have cooled off. Again just proves the point that it is near impossible to sustain the highest level of winning.

Sure we have slowed down the remarkable rate we were at, but who would be the premier name in baseball right now then? Its not like we dropped off a cliff after Bertman left, we just let off the gas a little. If we aren't THE name on college baseball, we are certainly in the top 3-5.

Oh, I think you are in the conversation of the top programs, and have a higher claim to it than we do. I just think there is not a single program that can claim a presence like you guys had in the 90's or USC in the 70's. Too much parity these days for one to stand out so tall.

This. And that was the point of the original comment.

A bit yeah, but other than last year we've still been towards the top. And our last title appearance was in 2012. For a coaching change to have happened, we've done alright.

But I don't necessarily disagree with your post. Depends on how this year goes. If we make it to Omaha I'll make a stronger case.

Wasn't me. State should have swept this weekend but couldn't find the strike zone. I'm not sure if State will finish behind A&M. State is 2 games behind but look at the schedule.

I screamed at Cohen (actually the tv) for taking Sexton out (and that was before the tying double) and screamed at him again for taking Reid out for a pinch runner. Reid is the only person we have that even resembles a closer.

I was waiting to see the left fielder to close out the game(can't remember his name). That didn't happen.

Ok. If State don't sweep this weekend it's not gonna happen.
