I'm okay with this

Me too.
State's regional has
1. State
2. UL Lafayette
3. Wake Forest
4. Alabama State
And we match up with the USM Hattiesburg regional.

So we're ahead of LSU and Vandy hosting wise... Good to know.

I think the guys from D1 also figured that vandy likely loses the series to Florida this weekend.
On paper both LSU and Ole Miss have better resumes than vandy.

I'm crossing my fingers LSU sweeps Notre Dame and Tennessee this week to offset the potential buttfricking Florida is probably going to lay on us next week.
Still this is one of Maineri's better coaching jobs. I'll get roasted for saying this but LSU just isn't that talented this season, yet we're respectable

It certainly is, basically anyone else who lost what we did probably wouldn't even sniff the postseason.

Vandy yes, LSU no. If you think of it as who is being matched with who.
We're matched with the worst national seed, which would indicate they think we're like the "#9" 1 seed. Where as Ole Miss got matched up with the #2 national seed.

Doesn't work like that.

It's pretty dumb that it doesn't though.

Unless we sweep A&M there's no way we'll be that high.

LSU will go 2-3 this week then take 2/3 from Florida.

If UK stays around a 3/4 seed, I don't see anyway the NCAA doesn't place them in the Louisville regional. Especially given the attendance when both have been there and how competitive of a matchup it's been.

Florida barely finished above .500 several years ago after a similar attrition

You missed the first part of my post, which was "If you think about who is matched with who"
Obviously they go by geography, but I was talking in terms of matchups as his post was about who was ahead of who. There's no way to really tell who they have ahead of who beyond the national seeds if you're the same seeds, I was giving the only angle we have.
