McElwain would be a good coach in another conference but he is not recruiting well enough in the SEC (especially on offense) to take Florida to the next level.

Chip Kelly would fail so spectacularly at Florida it would be awesome to behold. His Oregon teams were considered soft in a finesse PAC12 league. Without all that Nike money behind him what makes anyone think he would recruit any better than McElwain?

That's how I feel about petrino and flordia.
He is a piece of shite but there are few better at keeping players in line
That offense will be fixed
Florida recruits itself well enough for him to field a good enough defense

I've always thought Petrino would be a huge hire but our holier than thou administration don't want to even consider sketchy characters, even though we can't stop suspending key players, year after year.
I think Jim Tressle would be a great hire as well if he's still not serving his ncaa show cause.
We should have cut our losses by cutting Mac last year. Foley has been a great AD but he has really had some awful football hires.
