His first extended action as a professional. Hit on 80% of his passes. Showed maturity as he took the deep stuff like he was always born to do. But unlike his time at LSU, he checked down routinely to the backs and TE's when the intermediate and deep throws simply weren't there.

270 yards in one half of work with two picks and moved the ball on 3rd downs and in the 2 minute offense. Again, in his first extended action as a pro.

Dude is easily going to make the team, and he's probably the backup at this point after seeing Whitehurst getting blown up by Sunseri on that Safety blitz. If he keeps developing, I will not be surprised if he pushes Locker.

The poster that referenced the Whis type QB is spot on. Talk of mobility is ridiculous when you think about Rivers and especially Warner.

Oh and to the guy that mentioned velocity...thanks for self identifying as someone whose football Evals and takes we don't have to worry about paying attention to.

Mett was chucking 75 "with ease" in pregame according to the announcing team.

Locker had a good game, but he's been inconsistent when healthy and obviously has trouble staying healthy. I live in Nashville and listen to all the Titans fans on local talk radio. Most want to see how this year plays out but are also ready to move forward if someone else steps up.

Did not see the game. Pulling for Mett to make the team and from the sounds of it, he will. Good for him

He looked good last night. Strong arm. But it's preseason football. Have to wait until he plays real games as a starter.

Watching the game now. Mett looks really good. I was always of the opinion that he'd be a good pro. He has a cannon for an arm, and he moves decently in the pocket.

He will replace Locker by the end of the season as starter, IMO.

I think if you get an offensive line around him that can give him time to throw he can be Phillip Riversish. Also needs to stay healthy but that can go back to the oline

Mett will take 2-3 years to develop. If it clicks for him, he has the tools to be a very effective pocket passer in the NFL. If it doesn't click for him, he'll be a journeyman clipboard holder for 3-5 more years than out.

Tennessee is a great spot for him. Locker is injury prone and will probably be gone after this year.

Was at the game and thought over all he looked relaxed and comfortable.

Depends on coach and organization. Sit him down, let him learn and bring him along slowly. Have a great line and run game to make it easier for him to gain confidence.

He reminds me of Ben Rothlisberger. He could be pretty good as long as he isn't convicted.

Looked good so far. I'm not too surprised, but I am impressed. It helps going to a team like the Titans, where he won't be backing up an "irreplaceable" player.

Are the Titans going to keep 3 QBs though?

He has made a few rookie mistakes in the first two preseason games and he is still staring down receivers too much, but overall he showed that he can make all the throws and has all the abilities to eventually be a starter. He just needs time to develop, and I think a year of holding the clipboard will be good for him.

He threw 3 or 4 dimes in the short time I watched. He's got a chance to be a stud

Would make sense given Locker's lack of durability.

The last 3 years they've kept 3. Although this is a new regime and I think that Wisenhunt only kept 2 while he was in Arizona.

It would make sense, and would be the best thing for Mett if they do.

With decent protection, Mett has the size and arm strength to be a good NFL QB.
