he's also bringing the Porter kid with him.

Porter family is ready to go back to CoMo. daughter still plays for Mizzou.

Above Average coach with ties to some very good Bball talent(stl), and already will have a stud in year 1(Porter). not my hire, but not bad.

I agree that it wouldn't be a terrible hire and at worst gives them some stability. It's just lacking the type of hype that I would have thought Missouri would generate with a coaching search.

Wasn't Cal down to Cal State Bakersfield(lol) in last night's NIT game something like 44-17 in the first half?

The whole 3.5 million a year thing better be a rumor. He's not worth 3.5 million period. If this is true and we hire him for that much, I'm gonna be pissed.

I thought Mizzou fans said Gregg Marshall was a lock and wants to be there?

Not saying that's good but Cal was without Ivan Rabb and Jabari Bird.

No. It was just one fan who doesn't even post on the Missouri board saying it.

Or Sterk was told no by several others. Or more likely, the 80,000 missou spent on a search committee told them that were are few coaches interested in the missou job

supposedly rabb decided his college career was over and quit to get healthy for predraft workouts, and other player got a concussion.

the 3.5mil is asinine

but, if he gets porter to come, its a homer. they produce NBA talent in that family.

I don't understand this, no one seems to give two fricks about being the coach at Mizzou in any sport though.

They've had successful teams recently, they've also been absolute shite recently as well though.

The turmoil surrounding the boycott though and national attention that brought will long be in peoples minds as well. The heads of the school showed to be incompetent through that process, and when you're sought after, which is who we want, why bother with all that?

I think he was making $1.35 mil at Tennessee in 2014.

I'll laugh when this doesn't happen, but even if it does your paying a terrible coach 3.5 for 5 years to get one player for one year.

But instead they'll hire a guy who's best accomplishment is getting into a play in game and getting to play low seeds to a sweet 16 with more than a handful of NBA and future NBA players. Went 0-2 in the postseason with 3 future pros at Cal.

It's cute you think Washington will let him out of his LOI, or that he'll even ask.

He's probably more likely to go play overseas than Mizzou.
