Interesting question. We did not "get there", but I have no idea if we were invited or not, since that is the question you are ultimately asking. A quick glance looks like a bunch of teams that haven't made a Sweet Sixteen this century, perhaps it is a tournament more suited to a team like Arkansas?

I really don't blame you for delving into the past based on your present situation. but if we are talking about the past why stop at 16? why not final fours?

Your comment is laughable given East, Tennessee's history. Hint: it was considered the freest soil in the US (North or South) to talk about Abolition and had the very first newspaper dedicated solely to abolition. And that's just two things.
I'd stand by our area's history and put it up against Columbus any day of the week.
