can we just f'king get rid of the NCAA?

you have no idea what anarchy that would cause. we, as humans, have consistently demonstrated that we need regulation. we also constantly deride the regulators. the way it is. we hate umpires, referees, policemen, government, etc. without the ncaa (or other governing body), it would be a free for all. the ncaa is an association for god's sake. an association of member COLLEGES. it ain't perfect but it's the best we got.

^^This X a 10000^

I fricking hate the NCAA - but the damn thing is made up of member institutions - so in essence, we are policing ourselves - and not doing a very damn good job of it, IMO. But, it's all we've got.

Texas
Ohio State
Florida
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Oklahoma
Oregon

I don't think it is any of the above schools ... you wouldn't mention any of these schools as a "Top12-15 program" ... these schools are Top5/Top10 programs and if it was one of them, you would mention them as a Top5/Top10 program, not "Top12-15" ... schools that would fall into the possibilities would be Florida State, Clemson, Arkansas, Iowa, Pitt, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, ...

I would absolutely love this and laugh my ### off if Ohio State or Michigan got drilled by the NCAA especially after all their self righteous whining about SEC oversigning. Seeing either of these two schools slammed by the NCAA would be almost as sweet as seeing Auburn getting nailed.

If anybody came out of nowhere for recruiting it was them.

Texas. There have been rumors popping up from time to time since December.

This is the correct answer.

And for those thinking it's LSU, or trying to put LSU in the same category with the Auburns, SMUs, or USCs of the world, get real.

LSU has been playing football since 1893. In all that time, the football team has been penalized twice. One of those was a slap on the wrist labeled a "probation" but with no penalties whatsoever.

When you play football that long, and you play it dirty, at some point the law of averages will catch up to you. Simply put, there's been no smoke, because there's no fire.

It's been well established that LSU just doesn't need to cheat. They are the only major school in a talent-rich state, and most of the top recruits in it every year grow up wanting to play for the Tigers in Baton Rouge.

I laugh when I see fans of habitual cheaters desperately point fingers at everyone else, saying they all do it, so that makes it ok when we do it.

Try that argument in a court of law, and see what it gets you. Please.

Its Tennessee. It turned out the Tennessee hostesses were doing more than just hosting. A partial list of things they did for the players:

BJ's
HJ's
ZJ's (if you have to ask what this is- you can't afford it)
and the Alabama Crag Daggle (up until now a move thought only to exist in theory)

That was the 1st team that popped into my head when he said it wasn't Auburn. I've heard the only difference between the 2 schools is the lake so why shouldn't they join us in all the fun.

This.
He would use the highest ranking he could to describe the school. If the school is not as good now or not as good historically he would use the ranking of that school that is higher because the higher the ranking the more it stirs the pot.

So your argument for why LSU doesnt cheat is stated yet you say Texas is cheating and your argument doesnt apply to Texas?

If any state is talent rich and they grow up dreaming to play for a school it is texas, lightyears above and beyond LA/LSU

Try the argument that we've never been caught so it must not be true. Didn't work out well for Richard Scrushy. Not saying LSU is dirty, jsut saying that's a dumb argument.

I guessed you missed the whole part about the law of averages. Nice comprehension there.

Dude, just stop. As an Auburn fan, you look both desperate and pathetic.

No one, anywhere, has ever called LSU a cheater, much less a habitual cheater. Because they're not.

Period, end of discussion, get over it already.

Not really. The law of averages doesn't neccessarily apply for several reasons:

1) There are a great many football teams tht went long periods of time not getting caught, just like a great many criminals did. That does not preclude them from getting busted in the future.

2) Most of the time a team gets turned in, its either from an instate rival (see Alabama and Auburn) or when you snatch recruits out of other people's backyards (see Texas A&M, SMU). Neither of these problems apply to LSU, so it stnds to reason that they are less likely to get turned in than other schools, NOT less likely that they have cheted.
