Nutt thread with no mention of him being the next UF coach. This place has turned to poop.

Houston Nutt won more SEC games at Arkansas than the other 7 Razorback head coaches have won combined.

I thought ya'll were very competive when you had Nutt. Plus ya'll signed some sick recruits under his watch. Hillis, Mcfadden, M Jones,F Jones, Caleb Miller, Andrews etc.

You're an Arkansas fan, thats about as good as it's going to get for you guys.

To be fair, any Arky coach would need 10-12 years minimum to match Nutt's achievements.

You're clearly a troll.

Gus was at Arky for exactly one season.

He was using Freeze's talent those first two years and his own talent his last two years.

He was fricking with his secretary and some other stuff when they kicked him out.
Wasn't there a record of his text messages and he was texting his lady friend Donna Something mintues before Arky kicked off in a bowl game?

Wasn't Nutt's wife part of an email campaign that trashed Mitch Mustain?

I always thought of Houston Nutt as a fricking clown, especially at the end of this tenure at Arky.

I think he is probably a really good motivator and tried to help his players, but he was a selfish/stubborn coach as well.

He'll Cutcliffe should never have been fired..... I'm glad he was because through all the pain it took we found freeze... But still Cutcliffe was a pretty good coach, recruiter, and man.

I wish you Ole Miss fans would get together and vote on how you feel about Cutcliffe. I had an OM fan getting pissy because I said Cutcliffe is a good coach, and now I have one agreeing. Y'all need to work on the hivemind.

Incidentally, Cutcliffe is a fantastic coach.

Fantastic coach but he squandered the Eli years with shitty recruiting.

Great at Xs and Os. Also a great quarterback coach. That. Is. It.

He's shittastic at everything else. The Chick-Fil-A Bowl last year was vintage Cutcliffe. "Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" type of stuff. In 2003 we were up 43-14 going into the 4th quarter against USCe and won 43-40. And the only reason we didn't lose was because USCe ran out of time at the end of the game when they were driving the field. We also were up on Texas Tech by 14 late in the 4th and ended up losing.

I believe both at Ole Miss and Arkansas his best years were his first two, with recruits left him. Some have pointed out McFadden, Jones etc as his recruits but some of the top players were because they were Arkansans, and unless things were terrible they weren't going anywhere.

His being forced to hire Malzahn, brought him 5 top players from Springdale, that were going to other schools. He then really never let Malzahn run the offense and subsequently screwed over Mitch Mustain. When Malzahn left, all but one of the five transferred.

Early, I was a fan of Nutt, but down the road he consistently would throw players or anyone near-by under the bus, instead of accepting blame. Good coaches will often take the blame to shelter their assistants or players.

Nutt also was one to try to take credit for much.

I do believe, long term, Bielema will do a very good job, provided he is given the chance.

I think that he was a good coach for a good 10 or so years, but as is often the case, the game eventually passed him by.

CBS Sports Network had him ask Freeze a question a few weeks ago and he said "Coach I really like some of the playmakers you have on the offensive side of the ball. Vince Sanders and Jaylen Walton". Both are players he recruited.

How did you Rebel fans feel about him after 1 year? & 2?

Really liked him; was relieved from Orgeron.

Also knew it was not hard to recruit in state at ArKansas (or LSU). So, he might get lazy.
