I think Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield versus the Duke freshman would be an awesome matchup. I think Williams and Schofield could take them.

Not just no but hell no, this Tennessee team isn't going to improve the rest of the year, and pretty much everyone else in the top 15 teams will.

Bookmark this they won't even make the sweet sixteen.

I just knew a Georgia fan would be the first to say no. You guys are pathetic. 96-50.

Yes. This is the deepest/most complete team in UT history.

How's the roster look going forward?

Just curious if this is going to be a "make it or break it" year or if you don't win it will be a "kinda sucks, but we'll be back next year" story.

Lose Schofield and Alexander off this year’s team, but have a 4* C that’s redshirting and 5* Josiah James coming in. Next year we’ll likely be top 10 again

Tennessee loses Admiral Schofield and Kyle Alexander. They gain a four star and a five star. Grant Williams is a junior but it is possible he will leave for the draft. We will be pretty good if he leaves but really good if he stays but probably not as good as this year.

UT will be solid next year. If Grant Williams comes back for his senior season, we could be really good.

Grant will be back, imo. He and his family are very academics focused. He's the basketball team's Josh Dobbs. Like Dobbs, he had Ivy League offers.

Indeed. I think he can play NBA ball but another year to work on his handle and outside shot would be ideal.

His mom is a NASA engineer. Grant will do well in whatever he pursues but I do think he'll do very well in the NBA.

What is this 96-50 shite you speak off. If you are really bragging about beating team DAV then you fricking hillbillies forgot what the questions was. You dumbasses won't be playing team DAV in the tournament.

There are at least 8-10 teams that will be in the tournamenyt that will be better than Tennessee.

Go ahead Bookmark this when you win the National Championship, but I don't expect to see this post again.

They could win it all or get taken out in the first weekend. It's such a crapshoot in March. There have been some really, really good #1/#2 seeds get knocked out in the second round.

Grant will graduate after this semester. I could see it going either way in regards to coming back. My guess is if they win the SEC and make a FF type run he will declare. If there is some type of flame out or “unfinished business” it would be more likely he would return.

Sam Vecenie who covers the NBA Draft for The Athletic has him right on the 1st round borderline. He said in a recent chat that in talking to people close to Grant, he thinks it will come down to Tennessee’s team success, which is somewhat unusual.

If he graduates, gets VOLS to a Final Four and is a first team AA, it wouldn’t make much sense to return.

Keep in mind Grant is very close to Josiah James as well and was a big factor in his recruitment.

There’s not a team out there that’s impossible to beat. Duke included.

Could Tennessee win it? Sure. But everyone who has ever had a similar team can also say it’s as much luck as it is talent to win the NCAA Tournament. All it takes is one bad matchup, off game, etc.

Significantly better than the roster that he inherited. Barnes took over a train wreck and has been able to accomplish this level of success with his first few recruiting classes which were full of unheralded prospects. I think the future is very bright.

We've recruited significantly better the last few years after the staff has been able to show on the court results. I think we'll continue to be one of the better programs in the country as long as Barnes is still the head coach. His staff's player development is some of the best in the country.
