Nope but they’d be a lot more competitive

Championship no but he could probably build them up to a 9 or even 10 win season depending on how down the east is. Franklin got them to 8 wins so a good coach can win there

That is literally an impossible task with the way Vandy is run.

No. They don't even have an athletic department.

Academic standards would hold him back.
Saban is a brilliant recruiter but will rarely out scheme anyone.

If Saban went there, I don't see why he couldn't. He would need buy in from boosters and the big money types to front cash for facilities and coaches. But the Bama name isn't what recruited the first sets of guys. Bear Bryant wasn't on the tounge of a lot of the early classes. It was all Saban. That travels.

He would have to also have some buy in from the university to let the academic stuff slide some.

The academic restrictions would say no.

Yes. It would take him a few years to build the recruiting classes and infrastructure needed to do so, but after year 4 or so he would be competing for championships.

Not enough institutional buy-in

No but he could win one at Kentucky, Miss St. or Ole Miss.

The fact that he occasionally doesn’t win one at Bama is enough proof that he would never win one at Vandy. A great coach can only do so much

I’m pretty sure this is referring to the admittance standards, which are higher at Vandy. Their admin has been known to not bend this even for high level players.

Given time, money, and resources I think he could do it. But it would take 6-10 years.
