1) The game will probably not be played in Houston this week.
2) The game will probably not be able to be moved because the Advocare Kickoff Classic is involved.
3) The game will probably not be able to be rescheduled because the Texans play on that field and their season starts the weekend after the game.

Therefore

4) The game will probably be cancelled. It is a non-SEC game and nobody but LSU and BYU fans will give a shite.

The storm continues to stall elsewhere and break up

The expected rain totals continue to drastically decline

The game is Saturday

Keep dreaming

Houston will be fine. They do not want to miss out on a chance to host the LSU Tigers.

Way too early to make those assumptions. Precipitation models released today show Houston could get tons of rain overnight into early next week.

Models are split whether the storm will drift SW and eventually dissipate or eventually start heading north. If it does go north, then it could pull a lot of moisture out of the Gulf right over Houston into next weekend.

I live in Houston. It will be bad at the Medical Center / NRG area. Flooding can and very likely will happen and it will be shitty for weeks. We are already seeing some localized flooding on the west side of town and they are saying it is going to drift east a tad when it happens This will cause more rain in that area plus the wind will hold it from draining. The other issue for south of town is on the northwest side some major bayous, creeks, etc are filling up which drain across town and towards the southeast / clear lake area. That means major thoroughfares could flood such as I-10 at 610 like during Allison.

Wait a second? You dumb mutherfukers played a game while thousands of people were killed and you want to call our AD and coach jackasses? What careless, don't give a shite school plays football when thousands of people are dead? You frickers need to relax and realize it's just a fricking game. Let's see what you do about this one. I'm in Houston and we're getting pounded with rain right now but I'm sure you're win at all cost school will not even give a shite about it's fans and send them into harms way, even though it will be bright and sunny on Saturday (which does not mean shite).

Maximum effort.

You were forced to play a game because you're not Florida.

Actually, Florida was forced to play this game as soon as they were informed they would not make Atlanta without playing it. LSU was fine not playing it after Florida failed to accept any contingency plans LSU offered.

You're not in our wheelhouse. You don't tell our AD what to do. He tells you what to do.

Right, that's why he ended up getting on his knees and crawling to Baton Rouge to play.

The sooner you realize that, the sooner you stop being butt hurt over something you had zero control.

Finally, you said something correct. LSU made every effort to play this game when it was scheduled, but had no control, as Foley and Florida were too fricking stupid to realize a hurricane might affect a football game.

I hope Harvey fricks you up.

Why would we expect anything else from shitty fans like you. You should have respect for the weather but you obviously don't give a shite about hurricanes or tropical storms. We are all laughing at you because you got all worked up over a fricking football game that you frickers lost at home anyway. Sucks being you huh?

Tropical storm is just sitting over Houston. Massive amounts of rain here. Lots of flooding. But, you have plenty of time before next Saturday. What contingency plans do you suggest dumb arse?

What the damn hell is wrong with you?

Houston is getting absolutely crushed right now. 911 can't keep up with the calls. Tornados have been hitting throughout the past 24 hours. Bayou's are starting to overflow and a large part of Harris county is expecting another 15-20" of rain over the next 18 hours. This could go down as the worst flood in Houston's history. Lives have already been lost and the count will likely climb. Plus the millions and millions in damages to families property.

Schools closed another week, twisters popping up all over the city, entire neighborhoods under water, thousands of high water rescues. This is no laughing matter and much more serious than a football game.

I ended up taking my family north towards Dallas. The creek by our house is flooded at damn near a record level and is expected to keep going up.
