More like 2012 Arky. Maybe not that bad but 6-6 type of team... you'll see. Is who they are.

or.. like aTm 2011. Built some expectations then crashed hard. We've seen this movie before.

Wake was ranked at the time. Both games were in the first four games of the season. We had four straight losing seasons prior to that year. Kids didn't know how to win. We were a much better team at the end of the year. We were blowing teams out. And the NFL talent on that team. Mike Wallace, Dexter McCluster, Michael Oher, Cassius Vaughn, Jerrell Powe, Greg Hardy, the Jerry Brothers, Brandon Bolden, ect. All playing in the league now. Texas A&M is an average team with a once in a generation player at QB. That was a great team with an average QB.

A&M 2013 will not be another 2 loss regular season team but won't be mediocre either.

There was more NFL talent on the '08 Ole Miss team then on the '12 A&M team. '12 A&M has a very distinct advantage, however, in that your coach doesn't have man tits.

It took Ole Miss nearly 40 years to field a squad that had consecutive 8 win seasons which they did do in 2008 and 2009. A&M won't have the same problem.

I do get the logic that A&M may be playing 'Over Their Heads' at the moment.

I think the addition of A&M kind of 'pushes down' the likes of Ark, Miss St, and Ole Miss each of which define mediocre with an occassional run of greatness.

More nfl talent on that team(draft picks and FAs who are starting anyway) than texas a&m could put in the mexican football league. Underachiever for a coach. Give me that talent with freezus and we'll spank the bammers the corn dogs idc.

We had a poor O-Line in 2009. Lost some valuable players after the 2008 season. I expected 9-4. I didn't buy into all that hype stuff.

Ole Miss 09 team's players (defensive players gives OM the edge) > next years A&M squad

Ole Miss 09 coaching staff <<<< A&M coaching staff ( A&M's staff is waaaaaayyyy better than what we had in terms of player development)

We beat the National Champions in the swamp. Stomped LSU 31-13 in Baton Rouge beat Mississippi State 45-0, and beat 11-1 Texas Tech in the cotton bowl 47-28 after spotting them 14 points.

Yeah, ok.
That '08 team would beat any State team in history by 3 touchdowns or more.

At the end of the 2008 season that Ole Miss team could play with anyone in the country.

If they lose those 2 linemen to the draft, it is very possible.

That's what went unnoticed by most heading into 2009 is we had lost an all-american left tackle along with another 3 year starter. Our line never really gelled that season until late, forcing Snead into a lot of mistakes, and certainly cost the game against South Carolina.

Yep. It cause Snead to throw out of the pocket more....something he is not good at, as we all saw. In 08, he had a lot of time in that pocket to find Hodge, Wallace, etc. Losing Wallace hurt too.

Could ND 2013 season be like the 1950 season?
