The best things about these threads are the long explanations from corndogs about how it's not funny, it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't bother them

Just a few things:
quote:

2. The Louisiana State Fair sells 630,000 corn dogs per football season.

Technically the State Fair of Louisiana is only open 15-20 days/year; it'll be open from Oct 25 - Nov. 11 this year. That would equate to 35,000 corn dogs/day.

What's more impressive is that it only averages 425,000 in attendance, which equates to about 1.5 corn dogs/attendee. Keep representing Louisiana!

quote:

4. Years ago, a lawsuit was filed against a bar in New Orleans, Louisiana for promoting a corn dog eating contest-induced death.

Question - were they sued for promoting the corn dog eating contest or the fact that someone died during it? It's a bit unclear. Just saying.

Yeah, because all the jokes about other fanbases being hicks, incestual, meth users, gay (good God do LSU fans pound the hell out of that one to embarrassing levels), cow-frickers, jort wearers, etc etc aren't repetitious.

If the corndog thing hurts your feelings so much that y'all want people to cut them out, start by walking the walk first.

There nothing insulting typed in my original post. All of you LSU fans have just assumed I was being derogatory with referencing these corn dog facts.

I don't think that many people even attend the state fair.

5. Many Louisiana State University fans can purchase maple-scented corn dog game day apparel.

Now that's a lie, or I would have found that in my size by now

It was pre-link days in the 90s when most message boards were Usenet crap.

The original was written by Oklahoma fan in regards to Nebraska fans and an Auburn fan simply removed references to Nebraska and replace them with LSU.

In literary terms, the Auburn fan gets an F for plagiarization.

it doesn't make sense

The weird thing is that Louisiana and Louisianans are rife with shite to make fun of all by themselves. I mean, "LSU fans smell like they just came from the pogey plant" would make more sense. With the 49th ranked education system (thx, Mississippi) ignorance abounds here.

The smells, the weird food, the ignorance, it's all here. there's no reason at all to import some lame arse midwestern corn insult. It just shows a lack of imagination - like referring to Alabama fans as sister frickers or something. It's just dumb and lazy.
