Uh Julio Jones, Ozzie Newsome, David "Duece" Palmer, Kevin Lee, Freddie Milons, Tyrone Prothro, Kevin Norwood, Al Bell and those are the ones I remember. Bama fans probably have a lot more to add

I thought your other post oozed with stupidity but for this one, you just turned the tap wide open.

But God help the gators responsible for covering Deandrew White, Chris Black, and Christion Jones...and most of all OJ Howard.

Our secondary has always been elite under Muschamp.

Not worried about yall's WRs...

Worried more about our DL against the Bama run game.

Only two WRs have ever won the damn thing, so that would be quite the accomplishment. Not saying he shouldn't, just saying he probably won't.

David "The Duece" Palmer and Ozzie Newsome were two of the best recievers I have ever seen in person. I give away my age but The Wizzard of Oz was once in a lifetime type player

Since we were talking about this years team, I thought it would be obvious that is what I was talking about. However, I obviously should have made it clearer for tards like you

I grew up in an area just down the road (5 miles). His high school team was one of the best small high school teams in Alabama history - the 1972 Colbert County Indians. That team had Ozzie Newsome, Phil Gargis (Auburn QB, Thad Flanagan (who was the 2nd leading receiver behind Ozzie Newsome for Bama in '76).

On a modestly related note, Colbert Co. also won the state championship in basketball that year in Alabama in their class, with Leon Douglass at center. Ozzie NEwsome played forward on that basketball team as well.

That's a ton of athletic talent for such a small school in one year.

Not surprised you want someone to die over football. You always seemed about on the same level as Updyke, the tea bagger, and the rest of the bammer lunatics whose entire lives revolves around football

These first couple of games (and probably continuing with Southern Miss) have definitely been designed to let the QBs throw and get experience.

Starting with the Florida game I expect Alabama to go run heavy and we will see a more accurate picture of what Alabama's offense will look like this year - run to set up the pass. Asking Sims to go out and throw it 40 times against Florida would probably not be a great idea. If Florida can stop Alabama from running the ball, they could pull the upset. Going to be a great game in my opinion. Key to the game, because I expect a HEAVY dose of Yeldon, Henry, and even Drake.

As for Cooper, I think VH3 will do a good job on him. I'm a bit concerned about Sims fitting the ball in to the tight windows VH3 will likely provide. Gotta have some zip for those kind of windows.

More passes to TE, RBs, and slot guys being covered by LBs and safeties will probably be featured, and I'm fine with that. VH3 will try to take away the WR screen to Cooper, maybe we will see some double moves and see if Sims has the ability to hit some over the top - I have my doubts, but we'll see.

Still, Cooper is too good not to target. May get targeted more like 8-10 times, rather than 15 like we have been seeing though.
