We wore Red White and Blue to honor him. Yale wore similar unis to what he wore when he played for them.
And it may be the picture or it may be off. Our long time groundskeeper, Leo, recently passed so we may be transitioning. You can see where we honored him with the coaches boxes.

I have to admit, I like the red, white, and blue look for the Aggies more then their usual maroon.

In general RWB are just great colors. They're common and in most American's eyes represent America(and Texas) even though RWB is shared with a ton of countries.
Maroon is less common and less appealing to most. I'm fine with that. It is more unique. It could be worse. I mean purple & yellow or baby poop orange are truly terrible.
