Probably, but how many losses do they have on their schedule? About half of PSU's schedule should be blowouts. It's ridiculously easy.
USC has Stanford and Texas early, but the rest depends on how good are Colorado, Wash St, Utah, and UCLA.
Clemson will be favored in every game except for maybe FSU, but it's at home.

I think they have LSU about right. Maybe 14-15 is more accurate, but 12 isn't crazy.
Edit to add: Texas will surprise people if they can get their RB's healthy. Orlando is a good DC, should keep them in most games. Interested to see their season play out. Not saying they are world beaters, but I don't think Strong left the cupboard completely bare.

Updated this morning to include Stewart Mandel's rankings from Fox Sports.
Mississippi State is now on the board at #32!
Georgia jumps ahead of LSU. Tennessee falls out of the Top 25, down to #26.
Those were the major changes after adding in this poll.

I think they'll be a pain in the arse. Which is to say that their offense looks good but their defense still looks terrible. Teams that struggle to put up points (and that was more than a few last season though last season isn't necessarily predictive of this coming season) will have a hard time with them.

I mean, Texas doesn't deserved to be ranked, but they don't lose their QB (was a Tr. Fr last year) and they fired a terrible coach only to hire a good one.
They shouldn't be ranked because they have proven absolutely nothing.

Oddly enough, according to one of the numbers guys who crunches this sort of thing professionally, the stats show that replacing a QB has little impact on a team's success. The variable that does? Replacing a kicker.
Returning starters also don't have the impact that most people think although there is a limit you have to reach. I don't remember the numbers exactly so these numbers are just put on for an example but say you have 6-7 returning starters and that's the magic number. You've then reached the max benefit of returning starters so a team that returns 11 or even 17 isn't any better off so long as you hit the minimum number.
Sounds crazy given the emphasis we all put on returning QBs and returning starters in general but that's what the data analysts say.

We have a cupcake game 1 to get ready with. It isn't like we don't have talent at every spot to work with.
IMO we end up with some combo of:
Darius James
Wilson Bell
Austin Golson
Braden Smith
Prince Tega
Then we've got guys like Horton, Harrell, Prince Sammons, and Ashley that could develop throughout the year and maybe provide a few snaps should someone go down.

LSU and UGA are to high until their current coaching staff proves other wise. The top 5 SEC teams look about right just not the order.

I am not sold on Helton but Darnold. That offensive line is going to be awfully inexperienced. If I were a betting man, I believe UW wins it all. Their offense brings back everyone.
Outside of UW and USC, the Pac - 12 is tough to predict. It's a quarterback rich league this year with practically the entire league outside of Cal bringing back a kid with out at least two starts. With that in mind, I think 3 is a little high. With a gun to my head, I'd choose UW to win the league.

I think Clemson has earned the benefit of the doubt rating at this point. Six straight seasons with 11 or more wins and multiple victories over FSU, Auburn, Ohio State, Oklahoma and have beaten LSU and Bama during that span as well. They have beaten pretty much every team that has won or competed for a national championship in the last 6 years. They are top 4 until proven otherwise.

Buechele didn't tranfer though, and Texas is getting like 18 starters back in a shite conference. I could see why they're ranked
