What's confusing? His first full recruiting class will be upperclassmen this season, will have several players drafted, we could have had 3 early round draft picks this year, but they decided to stay for their senior season.
I don't understand what's so confusing about this.
You should also feel really bad for losing to a team who had zero draft picks.

We had at least 5 players who could have been drafted after this year. Two had their careers and draft stocks fricked over by injury problems, the other three were underclassmen who decided to return to UT instead of entering the draft. All three were locks to have been drafted had they left, Sutton possibly in the first round.
The takeaway here is that Dooley left us with NOTHING in terms of quality talent, Butch has brought in quite a lot, but his top players are so loyal to him and the Vol program that they'll take an extra season with us over the sure money the NFL would bring. Obviously in doing this, they're confident that Butch will continue to raise their draft stocks next year. Particularly Sutton and JRM, both of which were unheralded three star recruits that have been coached into NFL-level players.

He's in year four and hasn't had a 10 win season.
