I'm with you totally. It took a few years for me to really "learn" how to drink. Younger Ole Miss alumni (people in their mid-20's) are the real partiers. Undergrads don't know shite.
Yeah that's a good point - and for the record I always have a great time out in Oxford. I respect the attempted level of "classiness" (as my wife calls it) that y'all maintain - When we first started dating, I was astounded how Ole Miss chicks would dress like they were going to the prom just for a random Tuesday night dinner out on the town.

Totally different vibe than LSU, but I liked it.

I was surprised by how many social-left leaning people were on Ole Miss' campus.

Ole Miss and Oxford are pretty liberal places, which is funny because the stereotype suggests the opposite. Granted, there are plenty of GWB lovin', Bible-thumpin' good ol' boys and girls in Oxford, but they hardly outnumber the hipsters, druggies, and academic types.

I graduated with 2 degrees from Auburn. I wear collard shirts/button downs. Under absolutely no circumstance will I ever wear a jersey to an Auburn game. That shite is for children...not men.

collared shirts and button downs to a frickin football game. You have to be kidding me. What the hell are you, Ole Miss?

I wear blue jeans and either an LSU tee shirt or a frickin jersey. The way real football fans do. Also been doing it for 50 years. Watching LSU football is the most kid like thing I get to do.

Wearing nice clothes to a football game. Girlie if you ask me.

Watch Ole War Skule movie, and you'll realize quickly no LSU fan thinks football began in 1998.

Get a pair and enjoy the damn game. It aint a tea party. Play some damn football with your kids before the game. Put the Zima down and get a beer. Spill the shite while you are whoofing down some Boudin.
Be a man and don't give a shite about what you wear. If you can't be a man, then go to the grove and sip some damn tea. Not that there is anything wrong with that, mind you.

lol. great thread idea. i've really only scanned the first page here, but i can honestly say i don't fall into any stereotypes. i have lived every day of my life in Tuscaloosa, but i don't sound southern to southerners... of course i do when i've been up north or out west.

i do wear a few bama shirts and i have no hats that aren't bama hats. never owned a jersey... too damn much and neigh unwearable unless you're going to a game.

went to UA for 2 1/2 years, didn't graduate... but since i was born and live here i could have claimed UA anyway. <i don't care if you have attended a school... you can be a fan either way. if you stick with your team zealously from childhood through the Post Stallings - Pre Saban era... you earn the stripes.>

I fall into no stereotypes except that I am a fan that believes Bama "deserves" to win... in a way .. unless of course we cheat. I have that sense of entitlement to wins. Whether that's a good or a bad thing, that's me for real. But i can take a loss well unless it's auburn.

kthxbye

My bourbon goes down smoother with a lovely AU girl around my arm that was drawn by my pressed polo and over all well maintained look.
