Something needs to be done. As an LSU fan, if I can't make it to Athens or Knoxville the next time LSU plays UGA or Tennessee, I would have to wait 12 years for before I could go again. That is totally bull shite
and i am pissed that we get the 11 AM slot against Ole Miss this year
I have said this numerous times, but it bears repeating
let each team pick 3, 4 or 5 perm rivals and rotate the rest
let the top 2 teams meet in Atlanta
frick this "East / West" bullshite

I disagree with that because how do you compare teams with very limited common opponents?

Not too sharp are you.
Without the East/West bullshite there will not be a game allowed in ATL. That is the entire reason the SEC went to divisions.
Everyone else just followed suit.

I wish someone would make these pansy arse coaches and ADs around the league to step up to a 9 game schedule.
Like I GAF about playing Kent State or WKU.

bullshite - the ACC & Big 12 just pushed for autonomy from the NCAA in determining how to decide a champion
it does not have to be divisions, it can be set up however the conference wants
remember the threat to leave the NCAA & form our own league? creating pods and letting the top 2 teams play for the ship makes the most sense

9 SEC games
Schools dont like half the teams having more home conference games than the other half every year. Need a way out of that dilemma

Why do a home and away when you both make money in neutral site games?
So we don't have a home schedule where Western Kentucky is the 3rd best game.
Because I've seen one P5 OOC team in Bryant Denny since 2007.

Ugh, I wish I lived in a world where money wasn't the primary driver of everything. Neutral site games are the devil.

Neutral site games are like shitty bowl games.
People worried about how playoffs would destroy college football's traditions, I'd say neutral site games are far worse. Taking the games away from campuses has sanitized the college out of the game

I wish they'd say 1 of those P5 games had to be on a campus too.
Atlanta and Dallas making tons of Alabama money that could go to Tuscaloosa (or others)

8 + 2 is the way to go...these games against Wofford and Nichols St. Can be so boring.

Agreed 100%. The atmosphere is what makes college football great, and neutral sites will never be able to replicate the type of atmosphere you get from playing in home stadiums (I'm not referring to traditional neutral site games like UGA/UF when I make this comment). Jerry World is so bland, it is like playing football in a cubicle farm.

Is it fair for seven of the teams to have 5 home conf. games, while the other 7 only have 4? I guess the only fair way to do it would be for all the teams in the same division to have the same number of home conference games, and split it that way.
Posted on 9/14/16 at 12:05 pm to GetCocky11
Some of us don't consider Jax. as "neutral".
Posted on 9/14/16 at 12:19 pm to Cockeee Don
Didn't you repeat yourself in this post?
The only way to be fair is an even # of conf. games.
7 teams/division = 3H/3A.
cross div. = 1 or 2H/ 1 or 2A

Make all the permanent opponents in one division play home one year then away the next.
Example 1 year
Bama @ Tenn
LSU @ UF
Auburn @ UGA
Arky @ Mizzou
State @ UK
A&M @ USC
OM @ Vandy
East teams play 5 home conference games, then next year west will play 5 home conf games

& then where you play your 1 P5 school is based on if you have 4 Home or Away games. How you do your last 2 is up to you.
