I'm not too sure this was talked about, but thoughts of the ACC's options of a 9+1 vrs. 8+2 mandate coming to the SEC?

Please somebody do this to the SEC

And yes, in before "Georgia, South Carolina and Florida do it every year".

I've sad this before and I'll say it again.

13 week CFB regular season, two byes, 9 conference games, and at least one P5 OOC game.

12 games
9 SEC games
2 P5 games
1 whatever game

Heck, I wish they'd say 1 of those P5 games had to be on a campus too. That's probably a little much, though.

I wish someone would make these pansy arse coaches and ADs around the league to step up to a 9 game schedule.

Like I GAF about playing Kent State or WKU.

They need at least 1 or 2 games like Kent. If they aren't going to do that then they need preseason games.

Why do a home and away when you both make money in neutral site games?

Something needs to be done. As an LSU fan, if I can't make it to Athens or Knoxville the next time LSU plays UGA or Tennessee, I would have to wait 12 years for before I could go again. That is totally bull shite

If that's the case and you truly know your SEC history, then you'd know that these games were going on long before South Carolina was a gleam in the conference's eye, and therefore we aren't going to drop or move them to pacify you. If playing at the other division schools is such a big deal to you, then why don't you complain about your school's administration not nutting the frick up and joining us in voting for a nine-game conference schedule? That solves all problems.

9 SEC games, 6 interdivision games and three rotating games for those that want that and permanent cross division opponents for those that want that.

1 Power 5 (incl BYU and NDame) OOC game
2 other games to pay the bills.

But HOW are you going to make a balanced schedule for the SEC in that those NOT wanting cross-div. games AREN'T seeing teams MORE OFTEN than those WITH cross-div. games?

Ex.: LSU
Year 1 - Fl., Ga., Ky.
Year 2 - Mizz., SC, Tenn.
Year 3 - Van., Fl., Ga.
Year 4 - Ky., Mizz., SC
Year 5 - Tenn., Van., Fl.
Year 6 - Ga., Ky., Mizz.
Year 7 - SC, Tenn., Van.

(East teams seen 3X)

Auburn
Year 1 - Ga., Fl., Ky.
Year 2 - Ga., Mizz., SC
Year 3 - Ga., Tenn., Van.
Year 4 - Ga., Fl., Ky.
Year 5 - Ga., Mizz., SC
Year 6 - Ga., Tenn., Van
Year 7 - Ga., Fl., Ky.
Year 8 - Ga., Mizz., SC
Year 9 - Ga., Tenn., Van.

(Ga. seen 9X, rest East seen 3X)

Just go to 9 and be done with it:

rotate other two teams in opposing division every two years.

Example: LSU
Year 1: UF, UT, Vandy
Year 2: UF, Mizzou, USC
Year 3: UF, UGA, UK

That way you have a home and home every 6 years instead of every 12 with the other division

I would love to play 2 power 5 opponents every year. I think it would be great for the sport.

they will adapt the 8 + 2 model

why?

because FSU; GA Tech; Clemson & Louisville will demand it

PLUS - the Notre Dame effect - Irish are a "quasi member" that they would LOVE to add - mandating a 9 game conference schedule would kill the chances of bringing in the Irish

9 conf games (6-1-2)
1 P5 OOC game (or ND/BYU)
2 whatever-you-want games
