In my opinion, yesterday was a rainy day, where the sun shone on South Carolina....

There's a reason people are talking about Gurley getting picked in the first round as a RB. It's because he's really fricking good

When he is on the field, some of the time. He had several good runs yesterday. Two were called back. Other than that, USCe contained him. AGAIN, you can't count on him being on the field, when you need him, because he is gassed. You can continue to blow him. Tony Mandarich was lauded for his athletic ability also. I put more stock into a durable RB than you do, obviously. Of course if Gurley played for UF or Auburn, I think you would have a different take on him

Gurley isn't the best back in the SEC. He is the most over-hyped though.

In two games vs quality opponents, he is averaging over 9 yards per carry.

No, that doesnt count all purpose yards. Just handoffs and pitches.

9 yards per carry.

Any other SEC backs have that kind of number after playing two quality power-conference opponents?

No?

Yes?

anyone?

Actually he is. Also your hypen guy is the product of the system (just like Tre Mason). You need to take off the blue-and-orange glasses.

UGA is being smart with him. The days of a 30 carry RB are over. UGA has other really good backs that are more than capable of carrying some of the load. There's no reason to leave Gurley out there all the time. He was fine yesterday. I've never seen such an overreaction to a player stretching on the sideline, especially after a delay.

If he played for AU or UF, I'd be terrified of him. Like the smart AU and UF fans are.

J Williams vs Auburn and Texas Tech= 6.17 ypc

Pretty damn respectable.

T Gurley vs Clemson and South Carolina= 9.4 ypc

Dominant.

There is not a single educated football coach who would take Williams over Gurley. Not one.

Meh, you'll see Williams in all his glory in LR- he's awesome.

That said, I know Gurley is too. Granted I only saw a few minutes of your game but he reminded me of Lattimore getting used too much.

He has 32 carries on the season. Alex Collins has 50 and Artis-Payne has 42. Gurley is not "being used too much." If anything, Georgia is being too cautious with him.

Some of you guys just like to say things that have no basis in reality whatsoever. You and MrAuTigers are living on some different planet where Todd Gurley sucks.

I agree. I don't know how you can call a personal foul on a player for getting head-butted.

Your reading comprehension sucks. I never said Gurley wasn't a good back. I stated he is over-hyped, which I believe he is.

Agree, still don't realize how the refs don't throw the unsportsmanlike penalty on Gurley for headbutting then throwing a punch. Made what should have been a usc blowout a tight game.

I said I know he's awesome and I also said I only watched a few minutes of their game- Jesus Christ.

The few minutes I saw was virtually all Gurley and yes he was good but it was all Gurley on o which I found reminiscent of SC with Lattimore.

Your belief is wrong. He is the best back in the conference and country. The guy has 164 yards per game and 4 TDs after playing two Top 25 teams.

What exactly does he need to do to impress MrAuTigers?

Thinking field turf would have been a better choice in these transitional years.

Field hasn't set yet. Got a ton of water the night before.

It can and might happen again next year too.

You watched a few minutes and concluded that Gurley was "overused," even though he has fewer than 20 touches per game.

Forget it dumbass, he looked like a tired workhorse when I saw him. That's it. End of story, it was no slight against him or you and your delicate sensitives.

In my opinion, our secondary is the best in the conference; however, our run defense is middle of the pack.

Clemson, really? Clemson has never ever ever been known for their stout D. He is a good back, when he plays. USCe contained him pretty well yesterday, except for three carries. Two were brought back. He is a very good back.

As I have stated, I will take a quality back, with less talent, who I can count on wanting the 6 carries in a row......25-30+ carries a game. Gurley isn't that guy.
