The other point for Bama is special teams, UGA struggles there. This will be a chance for our kicker Morgan to redeem himself for some missed FG's earlier this season.. a "zero to hero" chance

Punt return has been a struggle for Bama this year. We've had several muffed returns which is unusual for us. Otherwise, STs have been pretty solid.

Also IMO,

QB - push
RB - push

I like AJ, has great touch especially the deep routes. Probably is a push at QB on skill level Give Bama slight advantage because AJ played in some high pressure situations already.

RB is probably a push although the fumbles from TJ... Still a push though.

Going to be a very good game. Looking forward to it.

and barret jones isn't gonna handle big john either. maybe hold his ground but this dominating nonsense is just that, nonsense

I said Jones can handle Jenkins, not dominate, but our OL as a whole will likely dominate your DL.

McCarron gave him a bad handoff on one of those fumbles. Yeldon touched it last so he was credited with the fumble though.

i mean i'll give credit where it's due and big john is gonna have to work against jones but i find it hard to believe that the Bama OL is simply gonna come in and just dominate right off the bat with yeldon and lacy pooping off 4-5 yard runs every play. i'm not claiming we have the best defense going but we aren't AU either. it isn't our DL that's gonna stop the run game, it's the LB corp and it's comprised of more than just jarvis jones

Yep, you are right. Forgot about that in Tiger Stadium.. was a bad handoff from AJ.

Same, because clearly you think you've got a better DL than LSU.

AJ=Murray except for big game play where Murray has sucked so yes AJ > Murray.

Our OL was the best all year at the running game but not very good at pass protection. However, they really turned the corner versus LSU and now they are the best OL running/passing protection in the country. Jenkins will be very frustrated Saturday.

UGA will not run it very well however if Murray is patient he should be able to rack up some yards on our secondary. But if you can't establish a running game you can't win and I don't think you can.

UGA's DL roster- in no particular order.

#6 John Jenkins DL 6-3 358

#99 Kwame Geathers DL 6-6 355

#96 Mike Thornton DL 6-1 302

#93 Abry Jones DE 6-3 308

#56 Garrison Smith DE 6-3 297

And a few others for rotation.

And in a 3-4 you've got to talk about linebackers, we've got a half dozen 6-3 240 guys with speed that could be starting fullbacks on any of a half of other teams in the NCAA.

But the point is are they better than our DL? I say not even close. UGA will not get many yards on the ground.

Kind of like how Gumps said LSU wouldn't do shite on the ground, yet Hill ran for over 100 yards?

Ok, that's nice and all, but that doesn't make them good enough to win the battle with our OL.

I believe the word "dominate" was used. If we can't look at numbers and individual matchups, then are we just going to to go back and forth saying "uh huh" "nah ah" "uh huh" ??

Oh yes we'll win the battle with your OL. Oh yes we will.

Because you have a few 300 pounders? If that's the case then ND would dominate our OL. Size doesn't always make you a good player. Jenkins is a first round pick yeah, but c'mon now.

This game we come down to line play and Murray's ability to get the ball out before pressure.

Not to worry. Bama can't pressure a QB with four rushers. They have to blitz to get pressure.

Ah HA! But it wasn't UGA fans saying the DL would dominate Bama's OL. It was Bama fans making the opposite claim! Baselessly!

The key for us is to protect murray (O line vs d line). If we do that Murray will play well because yalls secondary isn't great
