There is no way in hell Georgia is the sixth-most talented team in the country. None. Zero.

Same for Auburn at 7 and LSU at 3

What this ranking doesn't do is stratify or give more bearing to older, higher ranked players.

Georgia has 8 5-stars on their roster : 3 FR, 2 SO, 3 JR. So, more than half are underclassmen.

It's not bullshite, but you have to develop players once they get on campus.

USA Today FBS Rankings,

I get trying to find something that ranks all teams, but it is pretty much the only thing out that that has Auburn outside the top 25

Generally evertime I used an advanced stat metric ranking (S&P+) or computer poll (Sagarin), 3/4 of the questions are about "THIS IS STUPID LSU IS RANKED 8TH THEY SUCK". So I used the only human ranking system that ranks everybody.

Most really good to great players leave their junior year, being a sophomore isn't an excuse. Hell, being a freshman isn't an excuse by the time you get 6-7 games of experience, Smart said that himself.

Maybe a QB or an OL gets kind of a pass his entire first year, but guys playing other positions should have picked it up by then.

I'd say Reuben Foster, Tim Williams and Jonathan Allen made a difference for Alabama this season.

RF and JA would have been starting as true freshman at all but 1 or 2 other schools in America, and subsequently would have left after their junior years at those schools. Alabama players aren't really the best examples. One of maybe, well, 1 place where 5-stars show up, sit for 2 years then contribute for 1-2 years before they go to the NFL.

And Tim Williams was a 4-star from Baton Rouge that LSU didn't even offer. He was made into an elite player.

One doesn't make the other untrue. Does UGA have no seniors on the roster?

Which is exactly why "stratifying" the talent by year is important.

Tim Williams was an extremely highly recruited player. LSU making a bad decision is their fault.

Not really. We had like 4 senior contributors. 2 were graduate transfers. Our 2013 class was the worst in modern UGA history.

Worst in UGA history, still 12th in the country. Develop your players better and keep them out of legal trouble and maybe that class is looked at differently
