Well, the other three had the opportunity to start and couldn't.

Proves my point.

Tebow's freshman year saw the all time passing leader in UF history coming back for his senior year in Chris Leak. Tebow still got on the field plenty and scored 2 TD's in the natty game. Who at Bama was Hurts competing against for the starting job?

More gumpity gump gump self-esteem suckage.

They can't even twist stats to make Hurts look good.

Shouldn't we be comparing him to other freshmen RBs?

187 rushes, 1034 yards, 5.5 ypc, 10 TDs

191 rushes, 954 yards, 5.0 ypc, 13 TDs

His freshman stats hold up pretty well against a certain generational talent at RB his freshman year

Bama is declining. Coaches are jumping ship left and right. Saban just looks lost out there against any decent offense. Hell the last place team in the west damn near kicked Bamas arse for the 3rd year in a row with a somewhat decent offense.

All right, Cowherd. I'll think we'll be ok.

a lot of your delusional fanbase are the ones who think he will be an NFL player. Which led to my question.

I think he played very well....for a freshman. That said 80% of his throws were at or behind the LOS and be had the benefit of playing with one of the best college defenses ever. I thought the Heisman hype was ludicrous.

Its also funny how so many Bama folks on here shredded him the night of the championship already getting ready for Tua to take the reigns. But nah, they're good with Hurts
