Got the same dumb response but I wasn't hung up on after I threathened to cancel. They lowered my bill as a result and took note of my interest to the SEC Network. So I strongly recommend everyone call and get their bill lowered.

They are just being comcast i mean did they start out in Tupelo,MS that should tell you something.

Yep, that's their standard operating procedures (instead of actual solution) to support calls. Just give the clods a discount, keep 'em as a customer & call it good. I firmly believe this is official policy. FWIW, in metropolitan areas where they have meaningful competition, their services are mysteriously lower priced.
