Collegiate Baseball Poll - 6/8

I didn't even realize they did polls in the middle of the postseason. Seems silly, but whatever.
Poll
1. Texas A&M (1)
2. Florida (2)
4. Mississippi St (4)
6. South Carolina (6)
8. LSU (9)
23. Vanderbilt (10)
Other things I noticed
Ole Miss falls out of the poll all together.
UCSB. East Carolina, & BC go from outside the top 30 to 14, 15, & 16.
The 8 teams hosting supers are 1-8.
The 8 teams in supers not hosting are 9-16.
Xavier is 2 games over .500 and ranked 21st
So silly is an understatement. Just bad.

it makes no sense to make polls right now

That is one ridiculous poll for sure. Not saying Ole Miss should be ranked, but what were they in the last poll? Top 10 somewhere? So they lose two games, and drop out of the Top 30 and those two losses were to very good teams. Would that happen during the regular season? Of course not. They were ranked in at least the Top 15 all season even through the SEC tourney (which they played quite well in) and they lost two one-run games, one in extra innings with the teams that beat them taking the lead in their final at bats and they drop completely out. And I know Vandy had a tragedy in their program, but they got smoked in one of their regional losses, lost to Ole Miss in the SEC tourney and they are still in? Whatever, nobody will remember these rankings in a week anyway I suppose. But maybe me.

Yeah seems like whoever made that poll had a lot of money on Ole Miss making it out of that regional.
