First, Texas A&M does offer a unique environment that no other university in the country can provide. I've been to College Station twice to see LSU play the Aggies. First, the town is downright abysmal. It makes Starkville look like Shangri la. Seriously. The game atmosphere is good though. Their tailgating is very, very watered down and lame by SEC standards. Anyways, if we ever do those UT rejects a favor and let them in our conference so we can all kick their arse unmercifully, yes even you Vandy can get in on this, I will not be making the trip to College Station. It's a been there once, been a thousand times type of thing...

Anyways, here is the distance to College Station for all SEC schools.

Fayettville to College Station - 519 miles (8 hours 30 minutes)
Baton Rouge to College Station - 363 miles (6 hours)
Starkville to College Station - 608 miles (10 hours)
Oxford to College Station - 656 miles (10 hours 20 minutes)
Tuscaloosa to College Station - 665 miles (10 hours 30 minutes)
Auburn to College Station - 780 miles (12 hours 12 minutes)
Athens to College Station - 933 miles (15 hours)
Gainsville to College Station - 954 miles (15 hours)
Columbia to College Station - 1075 miles (17 hours)
Nashville to College Station - 782 miles (12 hours and 36 minutes)
Knoxville to College Station - 975 miles (15 hours and 15 minutes)
Lexington to College Station -992 miles (16 hours)

Whew....that's a lotta driving.

ATM is near Houston, tx. a Major hub. Buy a plane ticket and go.

Take a long weekend and use it to visit some spots in Texas. Alamo / Austin / Houston(ehh) / Dallas / San Antonio.

Or just watch it on TV. Quit yer bitching.

Btw, what is the distance from Gainsville to Fayetteville. ???

I'm not an expert on Texas geography or anything but I'm pretty sure that would take way longer than a "long weekend". And, no thanks, doesn't sound very interesting.

Sounds like the SEC needs to start an airline that operates on game weekends.

Buy a plane ticket and then rent a car for a 2 hour ride? I'd be okay with it if I were going to a place like Athens, Nashville, Austin, Fayettville, etc. not College Station, TX. College Station is where good times go to die (and i'm not talking about on the football field).

They would cheat by skipping lines while taxiing and the pilots would be drunk.
