He once said Gus was going to be the end of Nick Saban.

He has a point somewhat, I mean the SEC NOW compared to 4 seasons ago is essentially Alabama and everyone else. Not many viable national contenders anymore, East certainly won't advance to any national playoff or major bowl game and West teams are automatic dogs to Bama until they can actually defeat them. I mean, Ole Miss will sustain a massive dropoff with NCAA sanctions looming and Freeze out and no one logically thinks Miss State will reclaim what Dak accomplished in 2014 unless they're taking LSD and fricking their sister. CMON MAN.

He's a disgrace to journalism. I listen to Dan Patrick every morning, the herd comes on immediately after. I think the max I've lasted is about 10 minutes into his show. Every single take is wrong. It's truly amazing
I respectfully disagree, Colin articulates tons of logic with his opinions and calls it like he sees it. He's not gonna use politically correct methodology, he speaks and is entitled to his opinion as it relates to the facts.

Coaching is subpar - talent is not. And as long as Saban is around this argument is stupid

I wouldn't call Harbaugh's national perception overinflated. He built Stanford out of nothing and took a team to the Super Bowl. That's a better resume than 95% of coaches.
Michigan was 5-7 and softer than baby shite when he got there. He fixed that in about 4 games. I know people in the South hate the guy, but he is one hell of a coach. His last three jobs have had teams that were horrendous when he got there and he made them all powerhouses really quickly.
Meyer, Harbaugh, and Franklin going to the Big 10 was a game changer in the coaching world. Those guys came in right as the SEC was cycling out of guys who had been really good but gone stale at their programs (Richt and Miles). The SEC is in a transition period with coaches while the Big 10 has a stable of really good ones.

The Big 10 should be able to retain its coaching talent with the added revenue from their new TV contract. Most teams are going to get about $50 million per year.Around $12 million more than SEC teams make.

He also states every year that the Alabama dynasty is over. You would think after so many times of being wrong he would just shutup. Apparently he is very hard headed.

I think he's largely right. HC talent in the SEC today vs 7 or 8 years ago is pretty striking
This. I mean shite, even vandy had james Franklin

Why should I give a shite about Colin Cowherd? He's a dumbass.
Posted on 8/14/17 at 8:51 pm to bayouballs
Don't like Cowherd at all, but he's pretty much spot about the quality of coaching in the league. And other conferences will seize on that in recruiting.
As much as I despised Urbs, losing him and others like Petrino, Spurrier, Les, Franklin, and Richt caused the conference to take a step back.

He'll claim about anything that will get people to pay attention to him.
But he's right that there is a lack of coaching in the SEC right now.
There is however not a lack of talent.

He'll say whatever gives him the most viewership

BINGO I have a direct quote from Cowherd responding to a comment from a fan. "Hey man, I don't get paid to be right. I get paid for ratings." Colin knows the whole country is tired of hearing how good Bama and the SEC is and he is using that to get ratings. He has admitted it on many occasions.
