That's pretty much what I predicted. And for the same reason. Its highly improbable for a guy to come into the SEC and play QB at a championship level with no significant experience. Both Cam and Marshall beat some pretty stiff odds and succeeded. They also benefitted from having an offensive scheme designed to take advantage of their skills.

Of course you've got Tosh.0 calling plays for you now. I'm sure he'll be fine.

AU & LSU taking in cast offs however good they may be is not the same situation as a kid graduating early and transferring

Will he be good? Or even be the starter next yr? Remains to be seen

I appreciate the fact that tRant cares so damn much about it to derp the shite outta this thread though

I know. It's almost like Chicken should've created an entire board to discuss things like this.

Jacob Coker was also, apparently, the fourth best quarterback on Florida State's roster last year as well. EJ Manuel and Clint Tricket were the #1 and #2, and we all found out that Jameis Winston was better than him this year. So, basically, he was the fourth string quarterback... He deserves a chance to prove himself and all, but he's done nothing, high school or college, to prove that he is some kind of exceptional quarterback, or anything to be overly excited for
Then why are we going on NINE pages (mostly Auburn posts) about him going to Alabama?..It's either the Auburn and LSU people are scared to death (again, whistling past the graveyard), or they are completely obsessed with Alabama....or both. Just fess up guys!
In parting I'll say again, worry about your own program and not one that you have absolutely NO control over. Alabama will be there when the dust clears...will y'all?

The kid wasn't a world beater in high school and is a glorified "practice" QB. Jerret Lee 2.0 but bigger.

He was ahead of him the year he redshirted and his redshirt freshman year, does not prove Tricket was/is a better qb
Yea, it apparently does. And I think Clint Trickett sucked and I was strongly against him transferring to Auburn. Typically you are ahead of another player on the depth chart if you are better.

So Greg Mccelroy is a better QB than McCarron?

Vince Sutton. He set black qbs at Bama back at least 25 years.

Trickett's dad was also the assistant head coach/OL coach. He was also being recruited by Auburn when he was transferring.

The is so much fear in this thread it's palpable.

Damn dude. Your hatred for Alabama is palpable. Your love for AU, not as obvious to detect.

Question for those in the know:
Was this kid 6 ft 5 in 230 lbs coming out of high school?

I've seen the articles and quotes Bama posters have put on this board about him having 1st round talent. Tons of guys blossom in college (Matt Ryan, Big Ben, etc), but why was he so lightly recruited coming out of HS (at least according to allin2010)?
