I care as much about the box score as I do about the Coaches Poll. They weren't impressive and probably should have dropped. They might in the AP Poll and certainly would if there were a CFP poll. Does that really matter? By the end of the year they'll either be in or they won't.

I really hope the SEC is moving back toward being a defensive, power running league. The Pac12 and Big12 are playing absolutely no defense again. This is starting to look a lot like the early and mid 2000s.

The one thing that I hate about the coaches poll is that most (if not all) of the coaches that vote in this poll all played yesterday. Between preparing their team for the upcoming game along with traveling, there is no way these coaches get to see many games. They are ranking teams based solely on the stats and final score. Final Score and stats doesn't always equal how good a team is if most of their stats were padded during garbage time..

Wow. I shed a tear for UF being ranked in something again.

Profound. Ranks right up there with "it is what it is."

5. At what point do we stop rewarding teams for basically losing to Tennessee and then taking advantage of cosmic incompetence to eek out a win? The only reason to believe Tennessee is anything other than a dumpster fire is recruiting rankings. Yet Oklahoma and Florida both owe their poll position entirely to their games with Tennessee. No one should feel good about any of the teams involved with those two games.

Solid post.

Florida deserves to be ranked at this point.

it's mushy at the bottom of the poll. Michigan has a loss and UF doesn't so I'm not really complaining. Also I hate michigan Indiana Iowa NC state miami, there are a lot of unbeaten teams that aren't ranked. I'm not sure I see a whole lot of separation between them and Florida.

I'm just super tired of marginal wins over Tennessee being valued. Tennessee gonna lose 6 games this year. they are not a great team.

You act like this is some recurring thing that's been happening for years to be "super tired" of it. Tennessee isn't a bad team, and neither is Kentucky, both of whom have lost to Florida.

Tennessee and Kentucky in reality may be better than some of the teams currently in the Top 25 for goodness sake.

At this point in the season the polls don't really mean a whole lot anyway, so wgaf?

TCU is a joke. Defense is optional and they just outscore you....like to see them against SEC defenses.

Yeah, they should've dropped (their D is pretty comical).

Ole Miss jumped 6 spots after beating Alabama. How high can Georgia go?

Interesting.

Would mean Bama went 0-2 in last 2 conference games, 1-3 in last 3 games played.

Will voters see it as OM left Bama suspect, UGA confirms the valid win-against value?
