Maybe I wasn't looking at him all the time...but I didn't notice us doing anything special to him. He took himself out of several plays by charging inside and we went outside...but that's just the luck of the draw. He is just not playing as dominatingly as he did last year. Call it what you want...defensive scheme, lack of conditioning, complacency on his part....who knows.
Georgia didn't do anything special. Clowney has been so hyped that all he wants to do is "sack" the QB and in his zeal to do that, he takes himself out of the play many times.

Ole Ball Coach with quality contribution to discussion:

haha yea. During spring practice, one of the defensive assistants, who was standing just a few yards from Manziel, went nuts celebrating immediately after Manziel threw a pick. Manziel shoved him. Not that big a deal. Coaches and QBs yell at each other all the time after the QB throws a pick.
You need to take a break from A&M football for a few weeks.

I wasn't being serious. Obviously it's not good when a player shoves a coach. For better & worse, Manziel is insanely hyper-competitive. He can't even go play golf with his dad without flipping shite when he screws up. He'll likely learn to control it as he grows up (to some extent anyway), but it does make for an embarrassing faux pas from time to time.
That said, there's a difference between a heat-of-the-moment action like Manziel and a premeditated statement like Clowney's. The second is more damaging IMO
