I can't blame them. There's nothing to care about.

why do you care at all if u not a bama fan.
possession is everyting in football, so for Bama to get a cheap extra possession like that, after being stopped by CU's defense, kind of ruined the game.
Bama is our most hated rival. Only UF comes close. I care because I care about football. And I care because Gen. Neyland mentioned kickers in the Maxims and went further regarding it's importance.
Bowden, I believe, (could be wrong) even mentioned special teams as being the thing so many close games came down to and he (or whatever coach said it was absolutely correct the vast majority of the time).
Example of Gen. Neyland's Maxims:
6. Press the kicking game. Here is where the breaks are made.
The other Maxim references protecting our kickers and yets another Maxim mentions playing for the breaks. FWIW, there are only Seven Maxims. And in case you're wondering the Maxims had a major influence on CFB and still do today. I promise you Clemson learned from poor special teams play. IIRC, you also have at least two former UT coaches/players turning your D into a success and you can be damn sure they know and believe in them.
Neyland was the one even guys like Knute and Bear cited. Knute said that while everyone thought he was GOAT, Neyland was better while Bear said he learned pretty much all he knew from Neyland and unlike the VAST majority of coaches Neyland actually innovated. He changed the game and those changes stuck.
Dabo complained about that onside but he was just mad that it 1. worked 2. he knew Clemson had an ST disadvantage and 3. it swung the game and he was right (had Clemson not sucked that year on ST it might've been another story).
To this day other schools recite the Maxims.
So yeah as a CFB fan and UT fan in particular I care.
PS. Field position usually matters more than possession.

ok,
but i think bama would feel better about their win if they didn't need to do that b/c it was out of desperation and no confidence in the defense. Saban is one of the most conservative coach's out there and in a tied game in the 4th, it makes no sense to do that unless you think your defense can't stop the other team.
i've been surprised at how mad Bama fans are about this loss, given Bama has 4 recent titles, but i realized that they believe they got lucky to win last year and wanted the team to dominate Clemson this year.
i personally wouldn't care about Clemson winning a 5th title in short time span.

Lay off the momma retorts when dealing with the sheephumpers. This is strictly my domain.

And still lost to fricking Pitt lol

lost to refs in that one. lol so many bad cals on 3rd and long for Pitt. u wud think their WRs were Terrel Owens and Jerry Rice.
i think Pitt would be 2nd best team in SEC this year, and wud have a shot to beat Bama b/c they stack up against the run. Watson torched them for 580 yards passing but hurts not going to do that.

Dabo really is the perfect coach for Clemson. Their fans certainly follow his lead. The ultimate Rodney Dangerfield fan base and coach.
