It's too bad Clemson's academics are so subpar. Maybe this new success can help fund some better programs.

what is this based on? Clemson def. has better engineering and architecture programs. UGA only recently started an engineering college.

Clemson, FSU is no better than SEC for academics though but no worse especially as far as UGA is concerned.

Clemson has been like top 20, 25 in US News for like 8 years and it is ranked highly in Forbes and other rankings. I think it is ranked higher than most SEC schools.

Clemson is an agricultural school that has good agriculture school, but shitty compared to UGA, UF, and TExas AnM agriculture schools. Clemson business degree is good if you plan on working for another Clemson grad somewhere around the state, but outside of the Carolina's, nobody has heard of Clemson.

US news rankings? The rankings Clemson admitted to openly manipulating to get a better score? Including ranking itself the highest and ranking its peers unusually low.

Clemson has to send its agricultural veterinarian students out of state to other SEC schools.

Clemson is a very good school for engineering, architecture, hard sciences, agriculture and parks/recreation management. Their admissions for these programs are difficult. It's why they barely have 20k undergraduates.

Clemson has no law school.

Its business school is unranked by Tillman's vaunted US NEws and World Report.

It's a good feeling. I hope LSU can climb out of this rut and not continue to head backwards.

If you are in the same conference with Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, it is dumb to try and hang your hat on engineering and hard sciences. But not everybody can get into Georgia Tech so Clemson serves its purpose.

Parks and Recreation management isn't a degree.

When your school is within 100 miles of dozens of state and U.S. national parks it is a viable degree. I am no Clemson fan by any means, but their PRTM and forestry grads I know have no trouble finding a good job after college there.

I guess if the out of state tuition is too much or the admissions is too competitive to get into the UGA school of forestry, Clemson is an excellent option.

Like I said, hopefully Clemson can leverage this athletic success into building a better academic institution.

are you guys still talking about this? that was like 10 years ago. lol i don't think reducing class sizes, encouraging alumni giving, etc is 'manipulating'

most kids from middle class families aren't going out of state for college.

you haven't proved G Tech is better than Clemson.

i don't think you are an engineer so how can you rank engineering programs. lol
