Watching some clips earlier on the SEC network on Chubbs from last year. Bulldogs had a good O-line looked like. Ga fans---How is the O line this year? My guy a moving brick building to run behind this year. This competition will be exciting to watch.

Chubb by far. I don't think Fournette even cracks the top 4 or 5 when you do conference only stats.

Chubb was a polished recruit from a pro-style HS team. Fournette was raw talent coming out of a spread HS team. Fournette needed to adjust to the scheme and learn to read blocks. If Fournette puts it all together this year he will be better than Chubb. A running back to look out for is Derrius Guice who is a very polished RB out of a pro-style offense. LSU will use him to spell Fournette but he may challenge him for some snaps. He looks like a young Marshasn Lynch or Cadillac Williams.

Not enough off-the-field stats to show why LF is greater than Chubb but just hasn't shown it yet.

This is one of the more things I have heard in a while. Chubb played at little ole Cedartown HS. 3A. He didn't earn his 5th star until he blew up the SPARQ at the opening. LF was the #1 recruit in the country.

As far as what type of offense they played in. They are RB's man. Might be the easiest (other than WR) position to actually play in college as a freshman. Don't use the learning curve excuse. It's weak sauce.

Chubb was better last season , performance vs. potential . We will see what happens this season and beyond . Good Luck to them both they are sure fun to watch.

You're an idiot. Fournette has been hyped since middle school because he was a man amongst boys. He has been the strongest, fastest, most agile, and best balanced running back to come out of high school in awhile. That being said, St. Augustine didn't prepare him for the college level as well as they could have. If you go look at his highlight tapes you'll see that he is very raw and lacked basic running back fundamentals. Chubb was very polished as a freshman and read his blocks superbly. He knew where the holes were and how to adjust to hit them. Fournette was simply running into the back of his OL at full speed like he did in HS.

So what you're saying is Chubb is a better running back. Everyone agrees.

And you think Cedartown High School prepared Chubb for SEC football? shite, they played in a terrible region and they were only good because of him. And I doubt he got better high school coaching than LF.

Exactly. I don't see how hard it is to understand. Fournette could very well end up being better this year though as he is a better physical specimen. Guice will definitely turn heads though.

And why does LF have more potential? He's not bigger, not faster, not stronger, worse mobility and vision than Chubb.

I hope the next 10,000 iterations of this thread are as great as the first 10,000

I never tire of seeing the excuses made for LF
