Even with another great year would he come out? Also, has there ever been a 1st round sophomore QB pick?

Tremendous talent...did in by drugs.

nb4:JFF-Defense-League...not saying this is Manzeil's fate in any way, just jibberjabbering.

Still can't believe we wouldn't accept Marcus Roberson's commitment back in the day. Not that it would've mattered in the end... He wouldn't have gotten the coaching until now.

Interesting enough, Jermaine Whitehead took his spot. And he's now the starting safety. Meanwhile, Erique Florence and Jonathan Rose are no longer even with the team.

Was JFF a redshirt freshman?

You have to be three years removed from high school to declare early. Otherwise, Clowney would have been the number one pick this year.

Right, NFL has same rule as MLB but Manziel is a redshirt.

There is a lot of talk about Mariota coming out as well. That would make two sophmore qbs in one class.

That was the reason I asked if he was a redshirt.

He should have a pretty big year too. Coach Helfrich has lot of QB and OC experience.

As far as the draft he also goes 6'4" and will play at 220. I think he ends up a better NFL draft prospect than JFF. Time will tell.

As for next season, he will also have the best wide receiving corp at Oregon in years. Should be good times.

I think it's just really hard for an undergrad guard to get much pub. If he moves to tackle and plays well this year then the sky's the limit.
