Lock needs play makers so this is very good news for Mizzou, I think Drew's upside is through the roof and the nation will know all about him by seasons end. Rosen got all the hype last yr and he lived up to it but Lock may have more upside with his elite arm talent.

Never heard of Chris Black or Drew Lock?

He was injury prone at Bama but at certain points was in their WR rotation, he was a big time recruit coming out.

That's what it sounds like. Hopefully he has a good year and makes himself some money next April

Lock has put on 20 lbs this offseason as well. He looks a lot different than the skinny freshman he was last year.
He's also got the benefit of working with a highly successful QB coach for the entire offseason.
Truth be told though, none of this matters much unless the OL takes a massive step forward and that's probably the least experienced, most wide open position group on the team.

He has to be by far the best player on their team

Does he? That would be awesome if he was!
We have several NFL locks on defense, so if he's the best player on our team he's going to have a big year.

That is pure crazy talk, I wish the young man well but he's not the top
player on their squad.

Hope he has a monster year. Sucks he had so many injuries while here, hope he has a Dee Hart type comeback.

LOL at the who? The Bama WR rated higher than Amari Cooper by every recruiting site.
Because recruiting sites are never wrong and highly ranked players never bust.

He should have stayed at Bama. On my NCAA dynasty, he won the Heisman his senior year.

He's looked good every spring he's been healthy and had sensational film out of HS. But in his 4 years at Bama, including a red shirt year, he didn't do anything of significance on the field. Apparently, he had some form of injury for almost 4 straight years, but he never broke past 2nd or 3rd team even over some players the Rant would malign as marginal future Arena League players. Also, he couldn't catch a cold when he was on the field.
Hopefully he's a guy who catches on in another system and gets an opportunity to succeed based on his hard work in the classroom to graduate less than 4 years.

He was as talented as we have had, but for some reason just never could find his way
There were 2 reasons for this: injuries and some guy named Cooper

No.
But, he does have talent. Wish him the best.

I disagree. I remember Saban talking about burning his redshirt in the SEC championship the year we played against Georgia. He had remarkable potential at that time, and was an excellent route runner. Unfortunately, he just never lived up to it and did not progress like Cooper. Initially he was talented as any of the receivers that have shown up on the Alabama campus
