Based on what, exactly?

The defenses have caught up with his offensive scheme. I think he would do no better than sumlin in the SEC. Too many big fast defensive players than can run down his skilled players.

And how much would a smart coach frick with the other coaches minds out there if he decided to zig when the rest of them zagged by running a clock controlling power running game and a stifling defense?

That coach would be a fricking idiot just like when Bill Callahan thought that he could run a West Coast offense with Nebraska kids who had played triple option their entire high school careers.

Well you sort of have to recruit Texas. Something like 15 out of the top 20 Louisiana players left the state last year.

Is this supposed to be a burn on LSU? Finished with the 7th class in the nation per 24/7 after a coaching change. Guess it's a good thing A&M is such a dumpster fire so we could take three top 12 players out of Texas. Meanwhile faggies highest rated player in their own state is 15th. You really showed us.

but he isn't the second coming of Dan Mullen.

Sumlin is 4-3 vs Moo.

1-1 while at Houston and 3-2 at A&M.

Chip Kelly wouldn't last. The SEC is most physical conference in the country. That pretty boy offense will not work. It will surprise teams in the first year but after seeing it, teams with adjust and squash it. It will much like the Chip Kelly first season in the NFL and he wasn't much successful after that.

I'll be the first to admit I wasn't happy with the coach O hire. Kept the avi because I think it's funny now and I'm on mobile anyways. If O keeps recruiting and let's Canada and Aranda do their jobs we will see what happens.

Is this 2011 again? Have you guys watched the defenses in this league recently?

Newsflash : Arkansas, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri and Tennessee were terrible on defense last year. Awful. A Chip Kelly team would have run for 500 yards on ALL of them. Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and South Carolina were serviceable at best.

What the hell has happened to the high school coaches in Texas regarding defense?

High school football is serious business. The guys running the spread are winning state championships and getting pay increases. Some are making more than college coaches.

If you are running the 3 downs and a punt, you are getting fired and teaching social studies for $40,000 a year.

I think these Saban years have warped your brain. Over 90% of fans in college football would take 10-3 and 11-2 seasons all day.

You are correct, but most teams don't play in the SEC West either. 10-3 with a 6-2 record in the league will get you a trip to the Citrus Bowl or the Outback Bowl, not much else. A&M should have aspirations for Atlanta at least.
